Re: journal layout commission

thank you so much for the updated preview!! and please take all the time you need on this one, there's no rush and i know this is quite a busy month <3

links: the fade transition on the links is perfect, no notes. thank you!!

sidebar: i can't find a previous screenshot so i can't remember if the outlines around the sidebar links were there before, but the dark outline doesn't feel right to me. could we try removing it? otherwise, i love how it looks! the background/link colors on hover are perfect.

header: i like where this is going and i love the transparent gradient -- you were right and the header def needed some jazzing up. i think the shadow on the header text in combination with the texture looks too busy, but i know that leaving the gradient text as-is means it'll get kind of lost in any patterned background, would a pale outline work instead?

i know i started out with "plain text header!" but it does need some kind of texture/image after all. i'm not as much a fan of this particular texture as it looks a little gritty, but i went through the textures on the site you linked above and tested a few out using the webdev tools: one two. none of these were a 100% match vibe-wise, but i prefer them over the existing texture.

i also tried my own thing using some image assets i have on hand as an alternative -- do you think this image as a header this works okay with the color scheme, or is it too distracting/noisy? (i couldn't figure out how to get it to not repeat the image, but hopefully this gives a good enough idea ) the image can also be resized if need be; here's the size i'm using in the screenshot.

entries: this is looking great! there's just one thing i noticed -- when viewing an entry with this style, the icon is on the right side, but it looks like the username gets bumped to the left side on the line below it. could it be moved to be under the icon?

thank you again for doing such fantastic work, and please take your time in getting back to me over the holidays!!
