Requests & Commissions
Requests
❖ Requests are free! ❖ A request is anything that's kinda vague, like asking for more thread trackers or a muselist with dropdown elements. Something that you want made publicly available and wouldn't be a big project for me. ❖ Requests are prioritized beneath something I'm already working on and commissions. Essentially, I'll get to it when I can, but I will get to it. ❖ If you want a biosheet, layout, something personalized, or something only you can use, then it would be a commission.
Commissions
❖ I take all commission payments through my PayPal. You can also consider joining the Patreon for exclusive content or checking out my Ko-Fi Shop for previously exclusive codes! ❖ General Codes $3: Navigations, muselists, playlists, etc. ❖ Personalized Biosheets $15: Images of your character/PB will be included. ❖ Extras:❖ Journal Layouts $45: Includes icon page, tag page, archive, and mobile friendliness. ❖ Editing Existing Layouts $30: If you want something that's already around personalized for your purposes.❖ Plurk Layouts $50: Can include animated effects, specialized dash, dark mode appearance, etc. The Chrome extension Plurk Jailbreak is recommended to make the layout look as intended but is not necessary. ❖ Game Info Pages $80: Includes navigation, premise, rules/faq, applications, reserves, hiatus/drop, event templates, mod comment templates, taken, player contact, locations/businesses/employment, abilities/traits, profiles, advertisements, and anything else that your game may need. If you only need certain pages overhauled and not the whole package, we can work out a price on a case-by-case basis. ❖ Larger Commissions $90+: Game apps, websites, front-end UI/UX design, back-end database setups, etc etc. Price varies based on a case by case basis and I give no guarantees that I'll take your commission. But if you have an idea of something you want to get done beyond the scope of DreamWidth, I can probably help you. Largely depends on my skillset and free time. If you want examples of the things I do, check out my GitHub. |

Weird Request / Idea / Thought?
(Anonymous) 2022-12-21 08:59 am (UTC)(link)no subject
But I have managed to make a dark mode, yes. Here's a screenshot. It was surprisingly difficult thanks to all of the elements that make up a single plurk and then all of the different ways text and links are defined in the code. As such, this is the only dark mode layout for Plurk I've made (so far).
All of this said, if you're looking for a dark mode plurk layout for free, go check out Vigils'! They also have more great plurk layouts under that particular tag, but this is the only one I know of that's a "dark mode" look. Hope that helps! ♥ And thanks for the interest. ♥♥

my thoughts are i want something that is more dark mode oriented but with splashes of color, and one where i can easily change the bg. I like clean looking designs, hiding karma, friends, and making sure that any plurks i mute go pretty transparent!
no subject
We can absolutely hide things and make it much cleaner. We can also make the colors pop more than this example, wherever you want that color to be. And adding optional backgrounds won't be a problem. ♥

I would like to commission a plurk layout from you! My plurk user name is spacewitchery. I'm in no particular rush for this!
no subject
Just to let you know, my plurk layouts work best with the Plurk Jailbreak Chrome extension, but, from the look of your layout, you probably already have that installed. I just wanted to give a heads up first.
But okay! Is there anything in particular you're wanting from this layout? Any themes or colors or functions in mind? c:

I'd mostly like to be able to add more links under each tab freely without accidentally borking the code, so I would be very happy to pay extra for html-dummy-proofing, ahaha.

What size would you like the width to be? I ask since you're planning on doing the image for this, I don't want to make it too wide/not wide enough (same with height, really). But if you're planning on making the art later or don't have specifics in mind right now, that's okay! I can just run with it and see what you think once I have an example.
Second thing, would you like the colors/tabs to be as they are here? Of course, I'll make it so that you can easily customize the colors, but mostly wanted to check in on the amount of tabs you'd like to have. (oops, edit, just wanted to clarify! We can add as many/few tabs as you want, and I can make it so that you can add/remove tabs later at your leisure. I just wanted to check in for now.)
Otherwise, I think we can figure out the rest by doing. I can whip something up and let you take a look at it, see what you think!
Also, a bit of a side-note. If you're putting this as a nav on your journal, we can use just about any font you want for the header. There are lots over here. Unfortunately, that won't translate over to entry pages, so there'll be a fallback font in place, so to speak. Like we can make it look like "Lobster" on a journal but it'll have to be something like "Helvetica" in the entry itself. I'm sorry if that's confusing, but I just wanted to put the option out there.

I was looking at your navigation code here and it looked like the dropdown sections could make such a cool muselist, with keeping the dropdown for different groupings of characters. The part that I think might not be doable is I really like the idea of image being replaced by an info field for the icon, canon, and journal link, and the links opposite becoming a list of character names, where clicking on one would bring up the corresponding info field, and someone could switch between them?
I'm so sorry if none of that makes sense! I can try to explain it better if you have any questions, and of course no worries if it's just not something doable at all/at that cost!

Let me know if that's kind of what you were thinking.
If so, it might be a good bit of work to create, though. If you just want me to make a bare bones template for you to fill in, that shouldn't be much of a problem. However, to fill it in properly, like adding all of your characters, you might have to know some HTML to link the names to the info sections. I don't mind showing you how, though. It hopefully doesn't come off as too complicated, lol.
Otherwise, I can fill them all in for you. That'll just bump up to the next tier, the whole $15/120pts area.
Anyway, let me know what you're thinking. If nothing else, I can try making a little mock-up to show you what I'm picturing.

One of them is to use the detail dropdowns like you mentioned. We could make it look similar to what the great 10billionghosts has made but horizontal instead of vertical. Clicking each image would make them pop up larger along with whatever info you want, kinda like this. I could make you a preview if that would show you better.
Otherwise, we can use anchor links, have a dedicated box that just shows images in full, and a little list along the side like an index but is tiny images/icons instead of words. That would work like this. Again, I can whip up a preview if you'd like.
The main difference between the two will be where the images/info appear, how much space they can take, and how many characters can be displayed at once.
Details will always have info expanded from where the user clicked, anchor links will always have them in a dedicated box to the side, top, or bottom. Details info will only be as wide as the code, but anchor links can be whatever size we want (more or less) so long as it fits in the main box. Lastly, details can show many characters at once, where as anchor links will only show one at a time.
Anyway, that's the only two ideas I have atm. Again, if you'd like some previews, I can either smash some code together or try my fantastic art abilities in mspaint, lol. Anyway, thanks for the interest!

Either way, this is a bit of a bigger project (with according price) so I understand if you don’t have time right now! I just wanted to check. (But if you happen to be more interested, an html layout/styles for a neocities landing page or a carrd pro page and a rules/guidelines page would be nice to coordinate too.)
no subject
For the journal layout, I can make it look very close to the layout you currently have. We can use the same overall design and color palette, unless you want to go in slightly different directions regarding all that, including the font choices.
As for pinned posts, Dreamwidth will allow free accounts two pinned posts maximum, but a paid account is allowed up to five. Regardless, we can either fit everything you'd like into those two posts OR I can just add custom designs to any entry you wish regardless of if it's pinned or not. It just won't always be able to be at the top unless I actually move it to a different part of the screen. If that sounds confusing, I can try to make a mock-up to show you what I mean.
Also, making an extra navigation code for all this is absolutely do-able. We can see what you think of the layout first before deciding on that, though, if you'd like.
As for the other stuff, those would take awhile to do. I don't mind doing them at all, but it could take over a week at the very least depending on the design and amount of content. Neocities is do-able but I think it would take longer to create something there than with Carrd Pro, but I also think you'd have more creative freedom by using Neocities.
(Quick Disclaimer: I haven't used either of these before to build full websites with, but that's what I'm gathering just from the few minutes of research I've done. I'm very interested in trying something new, though, if you're up for that, lol.)
All of that together would be somewhere around $140, just from a quick estimate. And while I do have the time to do them, the turnaround could be a couple of weeks or more. Of course, I'd keep you in the loop with updates as often as I can, but that's what we're looking at. Either way, thanks again for your interest! I hope you've been well!

journal layout commission
as i mentioned previously, this is for a magical girl-inspired rp game! i'm looking for something cute and shojo-y, so i think rounded corners/circular icons would look nice -- it doesn't have to be nearly as fancy, but i really like what you did with your star trek LCARS layout. i made a rough sketch of the layout i'm looking for here (the colors are just for contrast purposes), with more details below.
Layout: 2-column, sidebar on left; 15 entries per page; text-only header; circular icons & rounded container edges
Sidebar: community/journal icon, link list module, tags module
Entries: subject & date at the top (all uppercase), tag list below entry text (all lowercase), user icon at upper right corner of entry
Link formatting: bold & a different color from the body text, color change on hover
Fonts: i don't have any specific fonts in mind for this, but an easy-to-read non-serif font for the body text and a serifed font for header/other text would be ideal. i'd also like to go with a larger font size on entry text for readability, like 11-12px.
Colors: i unfortunately don't have a specific color palette on hand, but i'd like to go with pastel blues/purples/pinks (this image is a handy reference) with a dark purple for body text/contrast.
let me know if you need additional info, or if any part of this request poses a problem! if you need to reach out to me outside of DW, the best avenues are plurk at
Re: journal layout commission
As of right this second, I don't think I have any questions, so I'll create a mock-up and come back to you with some design options. I'm sure I'll find a lot of questions for myself in the process of making it, lol. I'll just come back to you with those. Do let me know if there's anything else you can think of, but I'll try to get that mock-up back to you asap.
Thank you!

You can see what I'm referencing here:

Splash page layout 2

First, the layouts! I have been considering making a new layout for free, so maybe the next one should be a splash page. In the meantime, I have this layout that's a "fake" splash page but is mobile-friendly.
But for editing the layouts you already have, I have this custom control strip. In the case of your second layout, especially, I think it'll help you out. If you want an example of how it works, you can see it in action on this journal
Second, for that info booth code, it's difficult to make something like that also be mobile-friendly but not impossible. I'm going to think about this and figure something out for a code that can both use anchor links on this scale and work well on mobile. I'm not sure editing your current one will do much good, as I'd probably have to redo it entirely... I'll get back to you on this!
