Requests & Commissions
Requests
β Requests are free! β A request is anything that's kinda vague, like asking for more thread trackers or a muselist with dropdown elements. Something that you want made publicly available and wouldn't be a big project for me. β Requests are prioritized beneath something I'm already working on and commissions. Essentially, I'll get to it when I can, but I will get to it. β If you want a biosheet, layout, something personalized, or something only you can use, then it would be a commission.
Commissions
β I take all commission payments through my PayPal. You can also consider joining the Patreon for exclusive content or checking out my Ko-Fi Shop for previously exclusive codes! β General Codes $3: Navigations, muselists, playlists, etc. β Personalized Biosheets $15: Images of your character/PB will be included. β Extras:β Journal Layouts $45: Includes icon page, tag page, archive, and mobile friendliness. β Editing Existing Layouts $30: If you want something that's already around personalized for your purposes.β Plurk Layouts $50: Can include animated effects, specialized dash, dark mode appearance, etc. The Chrome extension Plurk Jailbreak is recommended to make the layout look as intended but is not necessary. β Game Info Pages $80: Includes navigation, premise, rules/faq, applications, reserves, hiatus/drop, event templates, mod comment templates, taken, player contact, locations/businesses/employment, abilities/traits, profiles, advertisements, and anything else that your game may need. If you only need certain pages overhauled and not the whole package, we can work out a price on a case-by-case basis. β Larger Commissions $90+: Game apps, websites, front-end UI/UX design, back-end database setups, etc etc. Price varies based on a case by case basis and I give no guarantees that I'll take your commission. But if you have an idea of something you want to get done beyond the scope of DreamWidth, I can probably help you. Largely depends on my skillset and free time. If you want examples of the things I do, check out my GitHub. |

Codes received! I ran out of time to fully do the sticky post again today, but I have it set up and started. My laptop screen being a strange width struck again:
But if it's most likely just my weird screen dimensions being an exception then I can totally live with it.
As I mentioned, I didn't have a chance to properly fill them out yet, which is why the post isn't public, but it's looking really great!
And re the website; please take your time! I know that was a whole other area.

But anyway! Back to the code. It's definitely screen dimensions, but I also want it to look as good as possible for you. We can try making the boxes themselves smaller or even going the (maybe overboard?) route of just widening the entire primary section of the layout. Going in either direction, we shouldn't have to adjust it by much if you wanna try those things. Otherwise, I like the images you're using for it. The whole thing's looking good so far. :)

The site looks really great! I like the clean lines and simplicty and how it's harmonious with the DW layout.
- I don't think we'll need to add an icon or username since it will be more of an admin/info page.
- The border looks great!
- On mobile it might be helpful to not show any of the grey background (is that a viewport override?) because it's a little narrow - I know the whole design is still in progress though! (How the dw layout works on mobile is really nice width-wise.)
I didn't have time to fill out the code on the live site ;; I do think that widening the entire primary section of the layout might be a bit overboard, though perhaps widening it a little might be generally helpful regardless? Or maybe, perhaps more usefully, it could flip from desktop view to mobile view sooner?
On mobile, the blocks are still a little narrow; I'm not sure if it's possible to let them fill the whole width (to a max so that on desktop it stops at the set width):
These are all small things though! I am really liking how this looks a lot :D

For dreamwidth: I can change it to mobile view quicker, yes. Thinking about it, I should be able to also add some code to the layout's CSS that'll just change your sticky entry code and make it single column/wider. I'm surprised I didn't think of it before now, but I can get on that and send it to you soon, probably by tomorrow.
Thanks for the response! And for the heads up that you're heading out for a bit. I hope it's for good things and you have a good time, lol. β₯

First thing, go into the sticky entry's code itself and add this in to the very first line of code: class="stickyCustom"
It'll look like:
div class="stickyCustom" style="...
Then you go into your layout's CSS and add this bit to the bottom:
If you feel like it's adjusting to a single column style too soon, you can change the "1000px" down to something like "800px" or so. Anyway, give that a whirl when you can and let me know how it goes!

Anyway, I have now tested the class and CSS and they're working great! I ended up switching the 1000px to 1330px actually, since on my desktop at least, that's when it switches from three columns side by side to two columns, so I redirected that to single column. I'll have to check with others what their screens do though. But I think that it's sorted! (just a matter of tweaking that pixel width if needed)
And adjusting for mobile as the last step makes sense!

I'm working on some deadlines myself, at the moment, but I'll be back to touch base about updates on the site sometime next week. :) Just letting you know!

1. The tab name has changed to "writetomyheart - Shiratori." I'm going to eventually include an image, as well. If you have a small image, emoji, or letters (like initials) to use, let me know! I could also just do a gradient of colors or something like that.
2. The navigation exists! The pages don't go anywhere yet, but I added "Participation" to take the place of "Instructions/Rules" just because it... flows better? But let me know what you think about that. You know your userbase better than me, so I don't want to put something in that'll confuse them.
3. The time sink, lmao. The footer! I was able to add SVG icons for your socials. The issue was the Dreamwidth logo. I eventually gave up and just made my own. It wasn't too difficult, and I'd like to think it came out looking like the real thing. (I even considered joining the Dreamwidth dev's Discord server that I happened across on my search but I was like "no, let's not ask for help, let's do the most difficult option on the table instead" but anyway.)
I have some time to focus on your site fully, so I'm going to start on the rules page very soon. The text will (for now, unless you want changes) be a carbon copy of your current rules page, but I'll include a small navigation near the top with anchor links, allowing your users to jump around easily to different sections. I'm going to want to get the formatting right on this section, so it's going to take me a moment to complete, lol. But do let me know if you want to rewrite these or something.
Anyway, thank you!! β₯

Also! The site is mobile-friendly now! It's not super perfect, but it's much better than it was.
Let me know what you think whenever you can. My next hurdle is probably going to be designing the dark mode of this site. After that, I'm not sure where to go. I think the sign up/log in portions are supposed to be outside of this main site? Perhaps the fanlore/history page should be next?
Anyway, let me know! Thank you!

Iβm so sorry! I must have snoozed your original comment to reply to when I got home (or whatever schedule) and then my email ate it (because I saw it do the same thing today). Iβll reply tomorrow
