[14] Another Minimal Layout

❖ Mobile friendly!
❖ Stylized control strip
❖ Tag, archive, icon, & comment pages

code here!
temporary live-preview here!

❖ Another layout I made for a client who was awesome enough to want to share with all of you. ♥

❖ Go to Select a New Theme and select Tabula Rasa, the Plain version.

❖ Under Choose Page Setup (at the bottom), select "1 Column (modules at top and bottom; no sidebar)," aka the second one.

❖ Copy and paste the code into the Use embedded CSS field under Custom CSS.

❖ In the code, at the top, you'll see :root. This portion of the code will change almost everything you want (so long as that's colors and font sizes). You only have to change it once and it'll work for the whole layout.

❖ Make sure Use layout's stylesheet(s) is checked! (I was previously saying to leave this unchecked and that was a BIG mistake on my part. Sorry, friends.)

❖ Go to the Presentation tab. Select "text-only" for the following options:
• Select whether user interaction links are printed as text or using the available icons
• Select whether entry management links are printed as text or using the available icons
• Select whether comment management links are printed as text or using the available icons
❖ The header is entirely optional. It's hidden by default, but there are instructions on how to display it in the code.

Hi there! This layout is so clean and appealing, but when I install it, all of the tags and links for editing, commenting, etc., are in a bulleted list. It shows up like that on mobile and desktop. I'm wondering if you know of something in the code that would cause it or maybe something in my display settings.

Hi! First off, big fan of the pink.

Anyway, I had to outsource a little for this. It really was a head scratcher! But someone told me that this could happen if you don't check "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" under Custom CSS. I just tested it out and that appears to be the problem!

I realize that I also specified above NOT to check that box so I'm really really sorry about that. Anyway, I hope that fixes it. If not, please let me know! I'm going to go change those directions now...

As much as I love light purple, I also really like this peachy-pink and don't think it's used enough online. It's just a pleasant color. ♡

And checking "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" fixed the issue, so thank you very much! Now we know, in case someone else has the same issue.

i know i'm popping in 1,000 years later - but that's absolutely the issue. any time a layout isn't looking exactly right and there's no other observable problem - try unchecking or checking the stylesheet boxes... some layouts need you to do that, and some don't. just depends! thankful someone else could spot this problem first and point you in the right direction! ♡
